BSA Pellet Probe Banjo 16-7644 16-7645
These banjos fit over the BSA pellet probe, which allow the rifle to cock. All the newer .177 and .22 rifles should already befitted with one of these but the older models may have a plain stud/bush, without the ring around the probe, which are not as strong. BSA part number .22 16-7644, .177 16-7645, bush 16-6724.
If you are upgrading your probe to a newer probe or you want to replace the standard bush to the better banjo type, then this is the part for you.
There are 2 different sizes of banjo rings, a .177 (less common) and a .22 (most new rifles have this size). If you are changing to a new style probe it will be a .22 size, if you want to upgrade the bush on your older .177 probe then you will need the .177 size. To be sure you can measure the diameter of your pellet probe, where the banjo/bush is fitted, if it is around
If you have a .25 rifle then the banjos will not fit your probe because the probe are too thick to pass through the banjo ring. They will also not fit on the old MMC type probes, they don't use a banjo or stud for cocking.
Please make sure you know how to strip your rifle to fit/replace the probe banjo, they don't come with fitting instructions. There are a number of BSA strip down videos on my YouTube and Vimeo channels.
