BSA Lightweight Spring Guide
These are light weight spring guides for replacing the steel spring guide in your Ultra SE, Scorpion SE, R-10 and Scorpion. They are not suitable for the old models of BSA that have a grub screw power adjuster.
The standard steel spring guide is often a loose fit in the spring, which can make your action noisy and twangy. Some of the newer rifles don't have a spring guide fitted at all, which can make them really twangy.
BSA use a number of different size hammer springs in their PCPs, I have a number of different sizes of spring guides to choose from. Ideally you will need to measure the internal diameter of your hammer spring to see which spring guide will work best for your spring. Sadly I can't tell you that x size spring should be fitted to x model of rifle, BSA use different springs all the time, the only way to be sure is to measure your spring. The guide should fit into the spring without being too tight or else it can make your rifle inconsistent and also reduce the power output.
These guides are around 1g, the standard guides are anywhere from 6-17g, depending on which type of guide you have.
You will need to remove the back end of the action to gain access to your hammer spring and spring guide, this may mean removing some anti-tamper if you have any on your rifle. You will also need to chrono your rifle once the guide has been swapped, to make sure it is still legal.
If you would like a matched guide and hammer spring please have a look at the hammer springs listed in the eShop.
No fitting instructions are supplied with the guides but the videos below show how to get the back end of the action out and how to use the BSA AT tool to get the end cap off so that you can adjust the power after fitting the new guide,
